MLP-014T 1 CO Line 14V Terminal Strip Lightning Protector

For Data, Audio and other lines up to 14V (without Ring Voltage)

The MLP-014T protects the equipment when the voltage on the pair rises above 14V. It also opens the line when the current goes over 150ma. When the voltage or current goes back below the threshold, the MLP-014T automatically resets.

If you don't know the voltage on the line put a DC volt meter across the pair to determine the voltage that's normally on the line, then choose a protector that has a higher voltage threshold (by at least a few volts) than what you read.

Our MLP Protectors with Terminal Strips come in the following thresholds (click to see that Protector):  14V, 30V, 56V (MLP-050T) and 270V.

Our 66 Block MLP Protectors come in the following thresholds:  14V, 30V, 56V (MLP-050A), 70V, and 270V.

We also have 66 Block MLP Protectors specifically made for EthernetT1 / E1, and T3 / E3 Lines.

You need one Protector for each pair. If the phone uses multiple pairs, check the voltage for each of the pairs. On some Avaya / AT&T and Panasonic systems the first pair is digital (needs an MLP-050T), and the second pair is analog with ring voltage (that pair needs an MLP-270T).

If you're putting this on an analog station port going to another building (OPX), be sure to put them at BOTH ENDS of the cable leaving the buildings!
